The story takes place around the 30's in Shanghai. Hui Man Keung is a young man who comes to Shanghai to make it a place of his own. There, he met Ting Lik and the two eventually partnered in the entertainment business. There in Shanghai, he also met the love of his life, Fung Ching Ching. She is the daughter of Fung King Yiu aka Shanghai's Hero. Things get complicated as Ting Lik killed one of Shanghai's boss. In order to remain in Shanghai in one piece, the two decided to work for Fung King Yiu. The story goes on from there with plenty complications and conflicts to keep your eyes glue to the TV.
