During the 1935 civil war in China, four friends, Ding, Kong, Ching and Fan have fought closely together but have gone separate ways afterwards. Ding becomes a member of the Shanghai Police Force and is assigned to clean up the drug trade. Ding swears revenge when his boss is killed during a police operation. When Ding meets his three old friends, he invites them to join him in the force but they refuse as they have seen enough killing before. However, they later change their minds when Ding becomes badly injured in arresting the druglord, Hey. Once again, just like in the old days, they put out their best of work to wipe out the drug trade.
