The story takes place in the spring and autumn period when the Country of Wu and Yue are competing for hegemony which started with Wu's invasion and the defeat of Yue which reduces King Ngo-Chin (Shek-qing Law) of Yue to slavery.
After returning home with the help of Fan-Lai (Chi-man Poon), former Yue minister, King Ngo-Chin ponders over the defeat and starts to plan on revenge with beauty Xi Shih (Yin-san Lai) of Yue being the key to success. As Fan-Fan-Lai's plan begins to unflod, King Fu-Chai (Piu Pak) of Wu becomes totally obsessed with Xi Shih's beauty leaving him very vulnerable while his enemy is plotting revenge!
