this series is about Joe and Jess struggling to manage their 'handful of love'. The 5 kids are the kids of Joe's sister, who died in a car crash. Their dad also died of cancer 4 years ago, but Joe and Jess have not told the kids this because their dad requested them to reveal his death after the oldest child turned 18. All in all, this is a family drama with quite a few emotional bits (when the kids realised their dad was dead and started crying) but no romantic storyline between Joe and Jess.
