Twenty years ago, Yue Siu Bo (Anthony Wong)'s Chinese Clinic was a front for secret operations. No one believes this mythical history of the House of Fury and simply regards Siu Bo as a Chinese chiropractor. A widowed father, his son Nicky (Stephen Fung) and a daughter Natalie (Gillian Chung) learn the martial arts from their father but are skeptical of his claim to an alliterative life as a protector of secret agents. Tired of their father's bragging of a heroic past, the children stay away from him while constantly quarreling on their own. One day, Rocco (Michael Wong) arrives in his wheelchair, demanding Siu Bo for information on retired agent Tai Chi Lung. Knowing that Chi Lung foiled Rocco's mission twelve years ago, leaving Rocco crippled and jailed, Siu Bo's lips are sealed. After Rocco leaves, four of his killers arrive. Siu Bo puts up a valiant fight, but outnumbered, he is finally captured and taken prisoner. Tortured and drugged, Siu Bo reveals that data on the retired agents is hidden in his children's lucky charms. Rocco is threatens to kill Siu Bo unless the children can find Chi Lung for him. With the help of boy friend Jason (Daniel Wu) and goofy schoolmate Ella (Charlene Choi). Natalie unearths the secret data files hidden in the lucky charms. It is then that Nicky and Nataile realize Chi Lung is none other than their father's long-time friend Uncle Chiu (Wu Ma). Just when they are planning to pay Uncle Chiu a visit to enlist his help, Jason locks them up and confronts Uncle Chiu on his own. Jason's motive becomes the new mystery that Nicky and Natalie have to solve before they can save their father. But time is rapidly running out.
