Played by Chinese superstar Zhang Ziyi (RUSH HOUR 2, CROUCHING TIGER HIDDEN DRAGON, HERO), Cynthia is a young Chinese woman in love with Itami (Toru Nakamura), a Japanese man about to be sent home for military service.
