The Ching Emperor" depicts the story of Emperor Hong Hei (Julian Cheung Chi-Lam) and the dictated General Ao Pai (Lam Ka-Wah). When Hong Hei was a kid, Au Pai was his martial art teacher and he taught him how to be a good king. Hong Hei respected Ao Pai a lot and always looked up to him. Nevertheless, after the day Hong Hei grew up, Ao Pai came down with a serious case of tyrannical decisions and actions. At first, Hong Hei did not mind much, but the situation gradually went out of hands and Ao Pai ended up being extremely powerful in the kingdom. It came to a point where Hong Hei knew he had no choice but to fight with Ao Pai in order to gain back his authority.
