Based on a famous Chinese story, this period drama stars Ivy Ling Po and Li Ching, a beloved on-screen couple even though both are female - Ling Po is renowned for playing male Cantonese opera roles. While visiting a temple, a young scholar is enchanted by the daughter of an important family. When rebels threaten to abduct the girl, the scholar with the assistance of a clever maid, try to save her. In addition, the young maid help bring together the young couple in spite of her family's objections.
